Built by a tutoring business. Not a software company.
We've run a tutoring business for five years — an agency and an academy, 1:1 and group classes, across timezones and currencies. ClassBold exists because of what that took.
We paid for the platform. Then we paid again to patch it.
Like every serious tutoring operation, we bought an industry platform and built the business on it. Then the patches started: a CRM here, because the platform couldn't follow up a lead. A chat tool there, because parents don't email. A WhatsApp tool, because our market lives on WhatsApp. A custom-built website, to cover what the platform couldn't show. Each one a separate subscription, a separate login, a separate copy of the truth.
The stack worked, in the way a raft works — as long as somebody keeps holding it together. That somebody was us, every day, in the gaps between tools.
And we still lived with its limits.
Even patched, the core platform set the ceiling. Packages that couldn't be tied to a service — so a prepaid balance was just a number, disconnected from what it was actually for. Reports that couldn't answer basic questions.
Every one of those questions had an answer — in a spreadsheet someone rebuilt by hand, again, at month end. The tools held the data; none of them held the business.
No invented team page. No stock photos of people who don't work on this.
Just the product, and the business that needed it. When we have a team worth a page and customers worth a logo wall, you'll see the real ones.
