You are the controller of your families' data. We are the processor, acting on your instructions.

1. Who we are

ClassBold is operated by Fortelk FZE LLC, a Free Zone Establishment licensed by Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone Authority (licence number 4429756.01), at Business Centre, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. References to “ClassBold”, “we” or “us” in this policy mean Fortelk FZE LLC.

You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@classbold.com.

ClassBold provides software for tutoring agencies, academies and tutoring businesses: scheduling, billing, payroll, parent and student portals, and growth tools. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

When a tutoring business uses ClassBold to manage its students and families, that business is the controller of its customer data; ClassBold processes that data on the business’s behalf and under its instructions.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash), and organization details you provide when you create an account.

Customer data you enter: information about your students, families, tutors, schedules, invoices and communications that you store in the platform in the course of running your business.

Usage data: log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and actions taken, used for security, debugging and improving the product.

Communications: messages you send us through our contact and demo-request forms, and email correspondence with our team.

3. How we use data

To provide and operate the service, including scheduling, billing, payroll, portals and messaging features you choose to use.

To secure the service: authentication, fraud prevention, abuse detection and audit logging.

To improve the product, using aggregated or de-identified usage information.

To communicate with you about the service — transactional messages, security notices and, where you have opted in, product updates. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your customer data to market to your customers.

4. AI features

ClassBold includes AI-assisted drafting features. Drafts are generated from your own data (for example your services, prices and timetable) and are subject to your approval before sending, unless you explicitly enable automatic sending. We do not use your data to train third-party foundation models.

5. Tenant isolation

Each business on ClassBold is a separate tenant. Access to tenant data is enforced at the database layer with row-level security, verified by an automated test suite. ClassBold staff access customer data only when necessary to provide support you request, to maintain the service, or as required by law.

6. Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers who help us run the platform — such as cloud hosting, email delivery, SMS/messaging delivery and payment processing — under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing their service to us.

We may disclose data where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of ClassBold, our customers or the public.

7. Data retention

We retain account and customer data for as long as your account is active. After account closure, we delete or de-identify personal data within a commercially reasonable period, except where longer retention is required by law (for example, financial records).

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to protect your credentials.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the contact page. If your data is held by a tutoring business that uses ClassBold, we may direct your request to that business as the controller.

10. Children

Student records are entered and controlled by the tutoring business that serves those students, typically with the consent of a parent or guardian. ClassBold does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children for its own purposes.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified to account owners by email or in-product notice.

02 · Children's records

Most of your records are about children. We treat them that way.

Minimum by default

We ask for what running a lesson requires. No field you don’t need, no free-text medical notes we haven’t scoped.

Students never see prices

Enforced by role at the data layer, not hidden in the interface. A teenager cannot see what their lessons cost.

Role-scoped access

Tutors see their own students. Parents see their own children. Admins see what you grant.

Audit trail on every record

Who changed a grade, a note, an invoice, and when. Safeguarding questions are answerable months later.

Tutor compliance is a dashboard

Background checks and certifications carry expiry dates and alert before they lapse. Nothing lapses quietly.

AI stays inside your tenant

Drafting reads your data to write your reply. It is not used to train a model anyone else benefits from.
